The title of this Piola magazine issue could be: “The pleasure”.

In this issue, we will talk about food, the pleasure of healthy eating, the discovery of true flavors and the satisfaction of living in a different state of mind than the one we now take for granted, in short, we will talk about our reconciliation with Mother Nature.
In the last century we witnessed man’s race to pursue pleasure and instant gratification, seemingly in all aspect of his existence. The result is that we have poisoned our primary resources for survival and we have misused technology and science.
In this new century, a new definition of “pleasure” is taking hold. Part of this new search for pleasure can be found in our personal commitment to healthy eating, along with the realization that we must make intelligent use of new scientific and technological discoveries. A new revolution is afoot: it is peaceful, global and it will bring us back in harmony with our planet. It will heal the wounds that we have inflicted to Mother Earth by the past use of unbridled consumerism. In particular, this new revolution will make us revise our current global agricultural practices, such as hyper-productivity, which have not created long-term solutions neither for world hunger nor ecological sustainability. The main weapon of this revolution will be a primordial need. The need to eat healthy, fresh and natural food. From this primordial need we will regain the primordial pleasure that food should always give us.
